Sale Alert - ModCloth Charter School Cardigans

I am constantly raving about the Charter School Cardigans from ModCloth. I'm happy to bring you the news that a couple of them are 20% off ($27.99)! Unfortunately my favorite Honey one isn't on sale, but the Sage one is! In case you need a refresher on how cute the sage one is, just look below.

Polka Dot Dress 1

All the Charter School Cardigans can be found here. I plan on purchasing the Magenta (because I need some more bright colors in my wardrobe):
Charter School Cardigan in Magenta

and Orchid because "Radiant Orchid" is the Pantone color of the year for 2014. You are bound to see lots of orchid in the coming months.
Charter School Cardigan in Orchid

You might as well browse their sale section while you're at it because they usually have some super cute stuff for cheap. In order to check out the sale section, you need to have an account, but don't worry. There's never an obligation to buy. If you use my referral link, you get $15 off your first purchase of $50 or more! If you pick up 2 cardigans your purchase qualifies, and then they are EVEN CHEAPER! Don't say I never gave you anything.

Happy Shopping!

What I Wore to Church - Polka Dot Cotton Dress

Dress: eShakti Pleated Polka Dot Cotton Dress
Cardigan: ModCloth Charter School Cardigan in Sage
Shoes: H&M
Necklace: Monica's Fantabulous Fashions
Earrings: JustFab Rule of Three

I freakin' love this dress from eShakti. I got it for literally nothing (thanks again for the referrals!). I planned on wearing something different this week, but once this dress came in, I tried it on and didn't want to take it off. I knew there was no way I wasn't going to wear it this Sunday. I love the adorable polka dot print as well as how flouncy it is. It's a good spinny dress. Just ask my dad, I love to spin in dresses. I always have. It feels so feminine and fun.

The cardigan is another charter school cardigan from ModCloth. I have it in honey and absolutely love it (if you missed the post, you can reread my love here). So much so that I even bought it for my mom for Christmas because I couldn't keep the love to myself. Once I saw the cardigan in sage, I knew I had to have it. I stalked it until Cyber Monday where I got it for 20% off. I love green, but hadn't seen a green quite like this. It's another color that looks good with almost anything. It also works in any season. The cardigan itself is a great cut too. Very flattering and cozy. I will not stop until I can snag it in ALL THE COLORS.

The shoes I did NOT buy online (amazing, right?), but I did buy them in a foreign country. I bought them at H&M in Dubai for less than $10. I thought the brown went well with the green and since the dress was grey, it all worked out. At least I thought so.

The necklace I got from a recent flash sale from Monica's Fantabulous Fashions. For more info on my friend Mon's great online boutique, you can read my previous post about it. If it weren't for her, I would be severely limited in the jewelry department.

The earrings are from JustFab. While I don't usually buy their jewelry, they do have quite a bit of cute stuff. These popped up on the "you could add these on to your purchase" page when I was buying shoes. It's like the impulse aisle at the grocery store, and I have no impulse control. Regardless, I like the bit of bling they bring to the outfit.

Since referrals pay for quite a bit of my shopping, I'll go into the list of links below. If you're not interested, you can stop reading now.  Happy Shopping!

eShakti is having another site wide sale right now (I'm telling you they give their stuff away). Use my referral code (ELIZABETH92SP) for $30 off your first purchase! The code only works for 2 more days so hurry quick!

If you're interested in purchasing from ModCloth, use my referral link for $15 off.

If you're interested in purchasing from JustFab, use my referral link and get 50% off your first order, but be sure to read the Terms and Conditions as it is a shoe club. You have the option to skip months if you don't want to purchase anything that month.

What I Wore To Church - Zigzag Print Dress and Corset Heels

SANYO DIGITAL CAMERASANYO DIGITAL CAMERAzigzag dress
Dress: eShakti Retro Style ZigZag Print Dress
Shoes: ShoeDazzle Eveleigh (no longer available)

This is one of my favorite eShakti dresses, and the first I ever paid the extra money to have customized. I really like the way this one looks with sleeves. Not all of their dresses look good with sleeves because the patterns end up looking off with the added sleeves, but this one worked out. It's sold out now, but their dresses come back all the time. Since all of their dresses are handmade at the time of purchase, when they run out of fabric, they pull the dress from the site. When they get the fabric back in, they re-release the dress. I like to bookmark the dresses that I'm interested in so that if they sell out, I can still keep an eye on them.

The shoes are from the glory days of ShoeDazzle, back before they were obsessed with 3" platforms and pointy toes. I wish they still carried shoes like this. The ribbons on the back are interchangeable, so you can really have fun with the detailing. I never fail to get compliments when I wear them, because they are just so unique and fun.

Now time for the shameless plug. Those of you that haven't tried out eShakti yet, now is the perfect time. Their referral program is back! If you use my promo code: ELIZABETH92SP, you will get $30 off your first purchase instead of the usual $25, and I will get $15 in credit for the referral. It's a win/win for everyone. From now until the 15th, they are running a Columbus Day special where if you buy 2 dresses, you get 20% off. If you buy 3, you get 30% off, and all new dresses are an additional 5% off. Also, if you like their facebook page, you can get 50% off shipping until the 15th. It's definitely a good time to join in the fun. Just don't forget to use my code! Happy Shopping!

Street Moda Haul

Since I'm not feeling well today, I didn't go to church. Besides the obvious downsides to not going to church, it also means no "What I Wore to Church" segment, which makes me sad. Instead, I decided to try to cheer myself up by blogging about my newest pretty shoes.

I posted about the Street Moda coupon code a little over a week ago, and I seriously took advantage of this one. All the shoes I ordered were from Jessica Simpson's collection, and I couldn't be happier.

SANYO DIGITAL CAMERAJessica Simpson Devin. Normal retail $89, I paid $16. I've been looking for a good black suede pump that's comfortable, and these fit the bill perfectly. I would've ordered Waleo in black since I know how they fit, but they were out of my size. They are a little more round-toed than Waleo, and just as comfortable. These will be a nice staple in my closet. I ordered 1/2 size up.

SANYO DIGITAL CAMERAJessica Simpson Waleo. Normal retail $89, I paid $18. As I mentioned in my previous post, I love my coral waleos and had been keeping an eye out for other colors. This is the "emerald" color although they are definitely more blue than green as you can see. Also, it just occurred to me these are very similar in color to my JF Ivana I posted about weeks ago. Either way, they are a great, rich color, and I'm sure I'll find an outfit or five to match with them. They'll be perfect for the winter. I ordered 1/2 size up.

SANYO DIGITAL CAMERAAnother color of Jessica Simpson Waleo. I paid the same price for them. This is the "nude kid suede". These were quite the surprise. I got this color because I LOVE the detailing on the bottom. Little did I know, the detailing sparkles quite a bit. It's like a disco ball for my feet. I tried to get a better picture but I'm not sure if I succeeded.
SANYO DIGITAL CAMERAYou can kind of see the sparkling. It's super fun.

SANYO DIGITAL CAMERAJessica Simpson Britt. Normally retails for $98, I paid $24. These were clearly more expensive than the other 3 (but still quite the steal). They were worth every penny. Are those not the cutest shoes you've ever seen in your life? I love the retro look of the gingham and the t-strap, and the bows just kick the cute into overdrive. The gingham part is a pretty satiny material, and you guessed it, they are COMFORTABLE. I will never stop saying how great Jessica Simpson shoes are. I went with my true size on these, which seems to be the case for most of JS's open-toed shoes. I can't wait to come up with an outfit to pair these with (yes, usually I pick the shoes first and work an outfit around it).

So there you have it. Four pairs of designer shoes that I paid less than the cost of one pair.

Total retail value of the shoes: $365
Total cost with the coupon code (SAVE60): $76

Not sure if the code still works, but it doesn't hurt to try. Happy Shopping!

Sale Alert - Street Moda

Quick sale alert. Street Moda is one of my favorite sites to get name brand shoes for cheap. They closed their site down for awhile, but upon reopening, are offering 60% off with the code SAVE60.

Might I suggest these:

Waleo

Jessica Simpson Waleo, $18 with the code. These shoes retail full price for $90 so this is an absolute steal. I already have them in spiced coral. I may have purchase them in this color, as well as the nude kid suede (and by may have I mean I did). I LOVE my spiced coral ones. They are such a versatile shoe. A very classy silhouette in a wide array of colors.

waleo nude

I went 1/2 size up because I have weird wide, short toes, but if you don't have wide feet your true size should work.

There's also a ton of other great deals. Like these

BCBG Parade

BCBGeneration Parade, $11.20 with the code. I'm a big fan of cheetah print shoes and I think every woman should own at least one pair.

Not sure how to wear them? I like to go with the classic pencil skirt and white blouse to let the shoes do the talking.

Cheetah heels

(The heels in the picture are from ShoeDazzle and no longer available, but you get the point.)

Moral of the story, check out Street Moda (don't forget the SAVE60 code). I'm sure you'll find something you like. Did I mention free shipping right now?

Happy Shopping!

Labor Day Sale Round Up

Happy Labor Day weekend! You know what holidays mean (other than the meaning of the holiday itself, of course)? They mean sales!

We'll start off with my favorite! eShakti is giving 35% off site wide. Stipulations state that the order value must be at least $40 before discount.  I don't think it works on overstock items, but 35% is pretty good.

For those that don't know, I was one of the winners of the my Summer Moment contest so I get to pick a fully customized dress of my choice as my prize. It has been super difficult. I'm leaning towards this one:

chambray sash waist eshaktichambray sash waist back

The Chambray Sash Waist Dress (Now on sale for $45.95). I absolutely love the button detailing on the back, and as I've mentioned before in this post, chambray is such a great neutral. I could wear this dress over and over and make completely different looks.

This is the other dress in the running:

Graphic Black eShakti

The Graphic Embroidery Retro Dress (also on sale for $45.95). It's such a classy, gorgeous dress, but I already have SO much black.

I'll let you know which one I pick. Either way, you should check out the sale.

LOFT is having a pretty big sale. Tees starting at $12, sweaters at $25, jeans at $35, 50% off select items, and 50% off all sale items. I LOVE their basics. Especially those with cute detailing. This for example:

LOFT stripe shirtLOFT stripe shirt buttons

Skinny Stripe Ballerina Button Shoulder Tee on sale for $15. I again love the button detailing and I seriously will buy almost anything with stripes. They are so in right now which is good because I love them whether they are in or out. And no, you don't have to be a skinny mini to pull off stripes if you make sure the shirt fits properly.

American Eagle is doing 40% off site wide (including jeans) as well as free shipping. I'm almost getting too old for American Eagle, but I still love their jeans and their basics. Occasionally they have their more trendy items in a cut or pattern that appeals to me. I've also been looking for a good chambray shirt. They've got a couple in their sale section. I like this one because of the print.

chambray shirt

It's $14.99 with the sale. I think this may definitely be coming home to me.

Vannic Boutique is also having a sale: 20% OFF any purchase with code SHOP20, 30% OFF any purchase over $60 with code SHOP30, and 40% OFF any purchase over $100 with code SHOP40.

May I suggest this maxi:

chevron maxi

I'm wearing the grey right now and it's like wearing pajamas. SO comfy! Perfect for weekend wear. When I got it in the mail, I put it on and refused to take it off. I wore it for the rest of the day. With the 20% off code it's $35.96, but the more you buy, the more you save.

Here's a couple more sales going on that may be worth checking out:

Tilly's is having 30%-70% off of their red lines. They've got lots of cute accessories for CHEAP. I may be picking up some sale belts.

ShoeDazzle is doing 40% off of their sale section but to be honest, I didn't find anything I had to have. There were a couple of cute pairs of flats for $19.99 like these and these, but the reviews said they weren't super comfortable, and that's 90% of what I look for in a flat. If it's not comfortable, what's the point? If you’re interested in ShoeDazzle, use this link.

Let me know what you bought this weekend! I always get excited when people tell me that bought something based on my recommendation.

Sale Alert - eShakti

I know I rave about eShakti all the time, but this is why. They are always having sales. I already mentioned in my post on Sunday that they are having another buy 3 for 2 sale. What I didn't realize at the time is that they are also having an additional sale of 50% off of quite a few items.  Unfortunately you can't combine the two sales. The 3 for 2 only works on non-sale and non-overstock items. However, there are some things in the sale section worth a look-see. For instance:

zigzag dress

Retro Style Zigzag Print Dress. It's on sale for $34.95. I own this dress (I added sleeves) and I absolutely LOVE it. Totally worth $34.95.

Another dress that may be worth your time is this one:

Houndstooth dress

Houndstooth Print Color block Dress. It's on sale for $44.95. This is the one I took advantage of, and it's on it's way to me! I know around here wearing houndstooth is showing school spirit for Alabama, but can't a girl just like houndstooth? I love the color blocking and the print. I plan on wearing it with a colored sash (not crimson) around the middle to give it a pop of color.

The only thing you have to be careful about with eShakti is their shipping. It's pretty pricey but to be fair, they are shipping from India. I think I paid $9.95 in shipping on this and that's on the low end.Check out the sale and let me know if you took advantage!

Sale Round Up

Quick sale alert for today!

Vannic Boutique, that I reviewed not too long ago is having a back to school sale. It's 30-50% off everything. I already ordered this for $28:

vannic dress

and this for $12:

bow top

(I told you I wanted EVERYTHING they sold).

LOFT is having a sale today as well. It's 40% off everything if you use code FRIENDS through Aug 18th. May I suggest this top?

striped tee

It's on sale for $16.88 which should be just over $10 with the discount. I have it and love it (if you haven't figured out all ready, I LOVE mint).

Tilly's has 50% off all red tag clearance items found here. I'd suggest these boots.

boots

I am literally (yes literally) wearing them right now. And with the discount, they are LESS THAN $5! If you're an 8.5, 9, or 10, buy them NOW. They also have lots of cheap tank tops, tees, and jeans (if you're small enough to fit them).

Lastly, use code ONSAVENOW at Old Navy online to get 20% off. Two things I totally recommend from Old Navy are their graphic workout shirts like this one:

Old Navy Graphic Tee

I have 3 of these and wear them pretty much every time I work out. They are $12.94 so with the discount they are just over $10.

And their fold over jersey skirts.

fold over skirt

I own these in four different colors. They are a perfect substitution for shorts in the summer and they can be dressed up or down. This teal one and the wine colored one are on sale for $15 so with the discount they are $12.

Let me know what you bought today, or if there's any other sales you spot!

Sale Alert - Zulily

Quick sale alert. Zulily has a peacoat on sale for $15.99 (plus $5.95 for shipping). I'm assuming for the price it's more of a fall peacoat (or Alabama winter peacoat) than a winter peacoat but that's a pretty good price. It wouldn't be a bad thing to buy for later. Right now it's available in Olive, Black, and Grey. The mustard and red are already sold out. Even though I live in Alabama with very mild winters, I'm kind of a coat addict, and peacoats are my favorite because they are so versatile. You can dress them up or down and they add class to any look. Below are the deets on Zulily.

Peacoat

Company: Zulily
Price: Varies per what you’re buying.
Description: Similar to HauteLook, Zulily is a “flash sale” website that features different sales each day with the opportunity to snag designer goods at sale prices. This particular website focuses on women/maternity, children, and housewares, but there are plenty of fun things even if you don't have kids. There is no obligation to buy. When you purchase, you only pay shipping once in a 24 hour period so if you decide you want something else, you can purchase it later in the day without paying additional shipping. Only downside is it can take a while to ship unless you order from their "ready to ship" section.

If you're not a member of Zulily, use this link to sign up!

eShakti

Company: eShakti
Price: Varies depending on what you buy
Description: eShakti is a traditional online retailer that focuses on retro-style dresses, skirts, and tops. There's one thing that makes them different from any other online store that I've run into. They let you customize! On most of their items you can add/remove sleeves, change the neckline, and change the length. You can also change the measurements and customize the entire sizing. Customization costs $7.50 per item. Items are made in India and shipped to the US.

Now onto the dress!

1055550455103320130804_084942 Chambray Dress

Dress: eShakti's Red Tipped Trim Chambray Frock
Cardigan: Tilly's
Shoes: Jessica Simpson Eman

I got this chambray dress in eShakti's overstock section. This is the section where they resell their returns at a discount. They ship from their returns center in Washington state instead of from India so they get here a little faster. The only downside to the overstock section is that you can't customize. Normally I put sleeves on all my purchases but I liked the price on this one and the size matched so I went with it. Did I mention almost all of their dresses have pockets? Like real ones, not the fake mini pockets that are in most women's clothing these days that can barely fit a chap stick. If you're not a fan of pockets you can customize to have them removed at no additional cost, but really, who doesn't love pockets?

I've been wanting to get a chambray dress for awhile. The trend is huge right now, but I wasn't sure how I would like it. Turns out, I LOVE IT! Chambray is a great neutral because like jeans, you can pair it with black or brown. I went with brown in this case (clearly).

The dress fits great. The size chart is pretty accurate but does have some wiggle room. For instance I ordered a 12. According to their size chart the waist is a 31.5". My waist is 34" and this fit. It was snug, but not uncomfortably so. It's good quality material and I love the red detailing.

To highlight the detailing, I thought about wearing it with my red Betsey Johnson Ditas which are a bright red, round-toe, corset heel, but the last time I wore them, I got too many "Wizard of Oz" comments thrown my way. And considering that when I tried the dress on, my husband said I looked like Dorothy in it, I wasn't going to substantiate that by wearing my "ruby red slippers".  Instead I went with my Jessica Simpson Emans. Jessica Simpson may not act like the brightest crayon in the box, but she sure knows a thing about shoes. They are like walking on clouds. So much cushioning and just the right height.

This particular dress is sold out right now, but their dresses are always coming back into stock. If you find something you love on the site, but can't buy it immediately, bookmark it so you can keep an eye on it.

Now back to the company. I can't tell you how much I love this company. Not just the customization, although that is wonderful. I always dress modestly and it's nice to put sleeves on things instead of always having to wear cardigans. What I love most, is how they treat their customers. They are CONSTANTLY giving coupons, sales, deals, and yes, even giftcards just to keep you coming back. They have a great return policy too. If you don't like what you received, and you want to return for store credit, they will give you the price of the item plus 20% back on a giftcard (the added 20% deal excludes overstock items).  However, you do have to pay return shipping and they don't refund you for customization. Last awesome thing about this company, they sell plus size too!

They're having a site wide sale right now so it's definitely worth a look see. Up to 40% off. You won't regret it. You get $25 off when you register on their site (there are certain minimum purchase amounts, I think) and free customization the first time you do it. I've had a few items I sent back due to sizing issues, but the ones I've kept are my absolute favorite! If you try, let me know what you think!

JustFab Shoes

As promised, here are the shoes that I got from the various JustFab sales. Just in case you didn't see it the first time, here's the deets on JF.

Company: JustFab
Price: $39.95 a month
Description: JustFab is a shoe/bag club that adds new selections monthly. They do charge monthly but they will give you a credit that you can use on any of their products. They also give you the opportunity to “skip the month” by logging on to their website between the 1st and 5th of the month and hitting the “skip” button. They also carry denim and accessories.

First up we have New Orleans.

SANYO DIGITAL CAMERA

My husband calls them my "Dancing with the Stars" shoes. They are gorgeous in person. Very sparkly. They run true to size (TTS). They were outside my norm (and definitely below my usual heel height) but I love them.

Next we have Jacqui.

SANYO DIGITAL CAMERA

Since there was a sale, I took the opportunity to go outside my comfort zone a couple times. This is another case. I generally steer away from wedges because the husband doesn't like them, but I loved the versatility of these. The mint color is so cute and quite popular right now. They actually run a tad big, but not so much that it's a problem. I wore them to a church activity not long ago and every one went nuts over these. So, they definitely make a statement.

Also out of my comfort zone was Skylar.

SANYO DIGITAL CAMERA

These were just so unique and sexy that I had to get them. They are very high but surprisingly comfortable. They fit TTS. I absolutely love the way they look. They are another statement shoe. I have a feeling though, that girls will love them, and guys will wonder how I walk in them. Now to find something to wear with them...

From the $5 add on sale I got Ivana.

SANYO DIGITAL CAMERA

These shoes are more my regular style. I love the color and the thicker heel makes them easier to walk in. I love the stitched detailing that runs along the length of the shoe. I ordered TTS and they fit perfect.

Also from the $5 add on I got Izzy.

SANYO DIGITAL CAMERA

These are ADORABLE. I ordered a full size up (usually an 8, I got a 9) based on reviews and they are a tad big, but with inserts they will work. I suspect the 8 1/2 would've been snug and I hate snug shoes.

Next, on to Juanita.

SANYO DIGITAL CAMERA

They are a gorgeous purple color. In fact, they are exactly the color of Nerds candy. My husband calls them my "nerds shoes". Personally, I like wearing candy on my feet. I ordered 1/2 size up based on reviews and they are perfect. Definitely a good staple shoe for the closet.

Last one from the sales is Marne.

SANYO DIGITAL CAMERA

Way outside my comfort zone. I NEVER wear pointed toe shoes, because my wide toes like to have some wiggle room, but oddly they work. The pattern was just too cute. I ordered full size up per the reviews and I'm glad I did. They fit just right. There's no way TTS or 1/2 size up would've worked. I'm definitely going to have to figure out how to style them but seriously. Just look at them. How could I have said no for $5.

Not from the sales, but a must see anyway, I have to show you Naples.

SANYO DIGITAL CAMERA

Aren't they are gorgeous!? Once again the mint color is perfect. They are so soft on the outside and from what I can tell in the 5 minutes trying them on, comfortable. The platform always helps with that. Got them TTS.

There is still a clearance sale going on here. It's not nearly as good of a deal, but I already picked up 5 more items. I'll do a review on them when they get here. I'm not sure how much longer the sale is going on, so check it out sooner rather than later.

If you’re interested in joining JustFab, use this link and you should get 50% off your first item.

H&M and HauteLook

Big news! H&M finally opened up online shopping for the US! You have no idea how excited I am about this. They've been teasing me and putting it off since 2011 I think. Every update was a disappointment, but finally today, ONLINE SHOPPING!

Company: H&M
Price: It's a traditional clothing store so it varies depending on what you buy.
Description: H&M is a European (Swedish I believe) clothing store that offers different levels of quality (and thus different prices) for their clothes. Their women's clothes are generally broken up into 3 sections (office wear, trendy clothing, basics). They also carry kids clothes, men's clothing, underwear/lingerie, accessories, and a pretty hefty beauty/makeup section.

I absolutely love almost everything they sell. They have anything from this $49.95 super classy sleeveless dress.

sleeveless dress

To this super cute $12.95 polka dot jersey dress.

jersey dress

And everything in between. I also LOVE their basics. Their camis are long and perfect for layering.

Definitely worth a look see! The only downside I see is that most of their sizes run like juniors sizes so I usually have to order up.

Company: HauteLook
Price: Varies per what you're buying.
Description: HauteLook is a "flash sale" website that features different sales each day with the opportunity to snag designer goods at sale prices. There is no obligation to buy.

My second announcement today is that theBalm cosmetics is on HauteLook today. I'm not much of a makeup person but I got a sample of this cheek/lip stain in my birchbox a few months ago and fell in love with it.

Stainiac

It's $17 on birchbox (and most places). It's part of the sale and it's only $8.50! It's a gives a nice subtle color without being sticky. You can find it as part of the sale here. If you're not a member of HauteLook please use this link to sign up.
