All Dress April - Week 1 and 2

I said I was going to post weekly #AllDressApril updates for those not on Instagram, and here it is, the end of week 2 and I have already failed. So this update is going to be a large post, but at least it has lots of pretty pictures! We'll jump right in!

Day 1:
Dress: ModCloth Give It Your Best Guest Dress in Kitchen
Cardigan: ModCloth Charter School Cardigan in Magenta
Shoes: ThredUp (Miz Mooz)

Decided to kick it off with a dress I'd been dying to wear (although that's the case with most of these) in this adorable novelty print from my new favorite designer Emily and Fin. Also, take note you'll be seeing this hairstyle a lot. It's easier to hide the fact I rock the same hair most days when I'm not taking pictures of myself daily.

Day 2:
Skirt: eShakti Belted Cotton Print Skirt
Top: LOFT Linen Tee
Shoes: ModCloth Weaving in and Out Wedge in Cognac
Scarf: Walmart

I'm really trying to focus on wearing things I've never worn before. I bought this eShakti skirt while I was still pregnant and never got around to wearing it. That is entirely too long to wait to wear a skirt this cute!

Day 3:
Dress: ModCloth Ride Here, Ride Now Dress in Blue
Cardigan: ModCloth Dream of the Crop Cardigan in Honey
Tights: Target
Boots: Soda Brand

Some fun, subtle print mixing and playing around with color.

Day 4:
Dress: Purchased on PoshMark
Cardigan: ModCloth Charter School Cardigan in Red
Shoes: Keds Champion in Bubble Dot

Casual enough for a trip to the park, but the red lip keeps it from looking too juvenile.

Day 5:
Dress: ModCloth Garden Tour Dress
Cardigan: ModCloth Charter School Cardigan in Sage
Shoes: ThredUp (Qupid), Similar to ModCloth Dynamic Debut Heel

This was my Easter dress. Florals are a practically a necessity, but I love that this one isn't in a typical color scheme.

Day 6:
Top: Ross (Pink Rose)
Skirt: ModCloth Musee Matisse Skirt in Cocoa
Scarf: Walmart
Shoes: B.O.C.

This wasn't my favorite look. This skirt was much harder to style than originally anticipated. The outfit is a bit too one color for me, which is why I added the mustard scarf. At least the skirt was breezy since it was hot outside.

Day 7:
Dress: eShakti Pineapple Print A-line Shirtdress
Cardigan: ModCloth Charter School Cardigan in Magenta
Shoes: ModCloth The Best of Times Heel in Black

Pineapples with hearts? Yes, please. The easy nursing access was a definite plus.

Day 8:
Dress: ModCloth Sunny Days Dress (Still available on Folter's website)
Cardigan: ModCloth Charter School Cardigan in Red
Shoes: ShoeDazzle Sailor

This is my favorite outfit so far because ANIMALS WEARING SUNGLASSES! Deal with it. Folter/Retrolicious is another one of my current favorite brands. They have some of THE BEST prints! My Easter dress was also by Folter.

Day 9:
Dress: eShakti Arbor Melange Knit Dress
Cardigan: ModCloth Birdlandia Cardigan in Blue
Shoes: Bamboo

This was the first dress that I'd worn previously, but I hadn't worn it in over a year and a half. It's actually the dress that I announced my pregnancy with. It's a shame to let this comfortable dress sit in a closet. The shoes were a bit impractical but I couldn't resist how well they matched the cardigan.

Day 10:
Dress: ModCloth Artisan Iced Tea Dress in Blueberry
Cardigan: ModCloth Charter School Cardigan in Jade
Boots: JustFab Zion

I had heard tales of how magical this dress was, and I'm here to tell you that the legends are true. It is one of the most comfortable dresses I've ever worn. The only downside is it's super short. The lace overlay isn't super short, but the lining is, so leggings are a must.

Day 11:
Dress: eShakti Colorblock Stripe Poplin Dress
Cardigan: ModCloth Charter School Cardigan in Sage
Shoes: ShoeDazzle

I wore this to my sister's JROTC drill competition so camo was perfect for the occasion! I worked the rest of the outfit around the shoes.

Day 12:
Dress: Effie's Heart Marion Dress in Versaillas
Shoes: ModCloth The Best of Times Heel in Black

Another super comfortable dress. Anything from Effie's Heart is like wearing publicly acceptable pajamas. The headband is actually the original sash that came with the dress. I just decided it would be better suited tied around my head.

Day 13:
Dress: ModCloth Sprinkled Splendor Dress
Cardigan: ModCloth Charter School Cardigan in Rust
Shoes: ModCloth Party All The Timeless Heel in Mustard

Yet another super comfy dress. Are you seeing a pattern?

Day 14:
Dress: ModCloth Day After Day in Bluebird
Cardigan: ModCloth Charter School Cardigan in Orchid
Shoes: ModCloth Cottage Wedding Wedge

Another Emily and Fin number in my favorite dress cut, the Day After Day style. I have two other dresses in this style. I bought this from someone in an Emily and Fin BST group and the minute I received it, I put it on and kept it on. As far as the shoes go, I was planning on swapping them because they weren't 100% my style but I tried them on and decided that I really liked them. I'm glad I kept them around!

Well that was quite the undertaking to compile 2 weeks worth of outfits. I think I'll save myself a lot of energy if I just proactively do the weekly wrap ups. So *hopefully* there will be another one next Tuesday. Fingers crossed! If you'd like to follow along on Instagram, my handle is shopwithbeth!

What I Wore to Church - Mustache March

Top: ThredUp (LOFT)
Skirt: Folter Mustache Skirt
Necklace: ModCloth Kernel of Kindness Necklace

Continuing on with Mustache March, I bring you THIS ADORABLE MUSTACHE SKIRT! Because everyone needs a mustache skirt.

I got this skirt from Folter. They are one of the many distributors for ModCloth, and in my opinion, they have some of the cutest novelty prints out right now. If you love novelty prints as much as I do, I definitely recommend taking a peek at their website. If you're already a modcloth enthusiast, you may recognize some of their dresses. It's seriously the cutest stuff. (And no they didn't sponsor this post.)

I obvs wanted the skirt to do the talking so I paired it with this cute lace top I got from ThredUp with just the right amount of subtle detail and these great lace up mary janes (yes, the same ones from last week). I thought it needed some color so I tossed on the mustard necklace and called it a day.

I debated a cardigan, but not only was it warm enough to go without it, I don't want to be a one trick pony and wear a cardigan with every outfit. I wanted to prove to myself that I could style an outfit without one. Also, the contrast waistband on this skirt really brought in my middle for a super flattering silhouette and I didn't want to cover that up.

Full disclosure, I don't have another dress or skirt with mustaches for Mustache March. Bummer, I know. But I do have some fun stuff planned for April. Stay tuned!

What I Wore To Church - Cottage Print Skirt

Cardigan: ModCloth Charter School Cardigan in Rust
Skirt: ModCloth Cafe Cutie Skirt
Shoes: ModCloth Weaving In and Out Wedge

I had a completely different outfit picked out today, but I wasn't sold on the way it looked on me, and honestly it was a little dark. I'm not saying dark is bad, but with as gorgeous as the weather has been, I needed something light and colorful!

I got this skirt from one of the swap groups I'm in (I swear one of these days I'm going to write up that post about swapping), and it's probably the skirt that sold me the most on how awesome swapping is. I mean, c'mon. Are you serious with this skirt?! It's too cute for words!

The shoes were also a swap (are you sold yet? I haven't even written the post yet and I bet you're sold on swapping) and are just to die for. Super cute basket weave detailing, totally wearable wedge height and padded insoles too! I guess if I could sum up my love of swapping in one outfit, this would be it.

Alright I guess I'll get on writing that swapping post now. And just a heads up, there won't be a post next Sunday because I'll be at DISNEY WORLD all week, but you can bet there will be a Disney outfit post when I get back. I'M TOO EXCITED TO SLEEP!

What I Wore To Church - Yellow Circle Skirt

Top: ThredUp (LC Lauren Conrad, similar, similar)
Shoes: ThredUp (Ann Marino) I looked and failed at finding similar :(

The title of this blog is a little misleading. This is more of a "What I Would've Worn to Church if the Baby Hadn't Had an 'I Need A Nap' Meltdown Right Before Leaving For Church", but clearly that title is WAY too long so we'll leave it as is.

I know it's winter, and with winter usually comes more muted colors, but I really needed some color in my life right now. I had a rough night emotionally last night. Nothing life shattering, just emotional. With my husband being on nights I have a lot of time to myself (after the baby goes to bed) to think and sometimes my thoughts can be a sad place. I don't say this to garner your pity or sympathy, just to show that fashion bloggers are people too. Life is usually pretty great, but occasionally I'll have an off day, and that's ok too.

To combat that, I rustled up this super bright and sunshiny outfit to make me feel better. Did it work? I think so. You can't help but smile while wearing this skirt. Seriously. Not only is it my favorite color, but circle skirts are so much fun to twirl in. I swear I made myself dizzy twirling. The baby thought it was hilarious.

At first I just paired it with just the cardigan but I decided it needed more detail, so I added just the slightest hint of polka dot. I really loved the way it turned out. I just love print mixing! I finished the look off with some cute shoes from ThredUp and called it a day.

Bonus points because it works into this week's style prompt for the #PMTStyleChallenge! Wear a Bright Color!

If you haven't shopped with ThredUp yet, you can use my referral link for $10 off your first purchase. If you haven't checked out ModCloth lately, take a peek over at their latest sale. Quite a few goodies to be found!

What I Wore To Church - Pink Florals

Skirt: ModCloth Adept Apprentice Skirt
Shoes: ThredUp (Qupid, same shoe as ModCloth Dynamic Debut Heel)

This outfit was driven by a couple of different things. Namely, a desire to wear some new purchases, as well as the Style Me November Style prompt for today (Instagram Crush).

I picked up the bubblegum cardigan during one of ModCloth's daily sales leading up to black Friday last week. I guess I wasn't the only one since they are now sold out completely. I loved the color and wanted to wear it as soon as possible. I used to HATE the color pink, but clearly I've gotten over that.

I picked up the skirt from a clothing swap group and had also been dying to wear it. (I plan on doing a post on swap groups soon! It's so addicting!) It is such a gorgeous skirt. Plaid, florals, and POCKETS all in one! Need I say more?

The shoes, were an amazing ThredUp find. I have the Dynamic Debut heel in Navy and love it to pieces so I did a happy dance when I spotted this pair on ThredUp.

Now, onto my Instagram Crush. I've been following @BristolElisabeth for a couple months now, and I just adore her style. It's always so bright and colorful, and so stinkin cute. So today, I thought I'd channel her with this look. I don't have any cute, fruity Luxulite accessories or colorful Bait flats, but I thought the outfit itself paid pretty good homage.

Since I'm pretty much decked out in ModCloth today, I guess I should give them a shout out. They are doing 25% off EVERYTHING with code CYBERMONDAY. If there's anything you've been eyeing, now would be a good time to buy!

What I Wore to Church - Happy Halloween!

Cardigan: ThredUp (Mak)
Skirt: ModCloth Breathtaking Tiger Lilies Skirt in Orange
Tights: Walmart
Shoes: ThredUp (Mojo Moxy)

Yes, I know Halloween isn't until Friday, but I didn't want to wait until next week to do my Halloween outfit.

Originally I was going to turn my Breathtaking Tiger Lilies skirt into a jack-o-lantern, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized it wasn't going to work. So I opted for some simple poodle skirt styling and affixed a felt bat to the skirt instead. My husband kindly drew me the silhouette since he's the artist in the family, and I cut it out of the felt with my mad scissor skills (no really, it took me like 15 min to cut out), and attached it with double stick tape and safety pins. I'm pretty happy with the result. It's an outfit in the spirit of Halloween without going in full-on costume.

I nabbed this adorable cardigan from ThredUp. I was so excited that it fit. It's the same brand as the Charter School Cardigans (Mak), so I figured it would be good quality, and it is! The embroidery on the peter pan collar is gorgeous!

When I put the tights on this morning, I asked my husband if they worked with the outfit. He said, "you look like you should be burned at the stake." My response: "perfect!" I got them in the clearance bin at Walmart for $4. You shouldn't let me wander around that store. I just went in for Squirt soda and I came out with 4 infinity scarves, 2 pairs of tights, and 3 pairs of boot socks. It's pretty handy for cheap accessories.

The shoes I've discussed before. Another fantastic find from ThredUp!

If you're interested in signing up for ThredUp (it's SO worth it!) use my link and get $10 off your first order.

If you haven't purchased from ModCloth before, use my link and get $15 off $50.

What I Wore to Church - Fall Florals

Cardigan: ModCloth Charter School Cardigan in Navy
Skirt: ThredUp (Down East)
Boots: JustFab Landry
Scarf: Walmart

Soo...This wasn't the outfit I had planned for today, but alas, I had a button crisis and not enough time (or coordination) to sew so this is what we have instead. When the going gets tough, the tough make lemonade (bonus points if you get the reference).

As you may have noticed, I love florals, and I'll be darned if I let a tiny thing like seasons determine when I wear them. It's helpful when you have florals that come in fall colors. I found this magnificent skirt on...I'll give you one guess (or you can cheat by looking above)...ThredUP of course!

I've been asked how I find such awesome stuff on there. My secret? Scan the app constantly on my phone. While most people are waiting in line playing Kwazy Kupcakes or whatever game is hip these days, I'm scrolling through skirts, Commercial break while watching Brooklyn 99 on Hulu? Checking out shoes. Taking a mental break at the office? Take a peek at the dresses. You get the drift. You'd be amazed what you can find. I've revamped my entire wardrobe and for a fraction of the cost. Wow, this is starting to sound like a sponsored post. Is it? Nope! I just seriously love ThredUp.

Another awesome find in this outfit? That scarf. I'd been eyeing one on ModCloth for awhile, and I was about to buy it, but I took a quick trip to Walmart with the mom and what do I find? This lovely dupe. It was marked $5 which was a steal so of course, I took it up to the register. How much did it ring up? $1.98!!!! I'm not kidding. I love when the stars align.

I was planning on wearing this outfit with heels, but since it was a tad chilly this morning, I opted for the boots (which is also why I threw on the cardigan). I think it gave the outfit just a touch of country styling without going full on "hay ride". I'm pretty particular about which outfits I wear boots with. There needs to be a little bit of space between the top of the boots and the bottom of the skirt for it to work. Otherwise, your legs end up looking stumpy. This skirt was the perfect length. Just a bit of my knobby knees peeking out and we're good.

I really liked how the outfit turned out. Although I like to at least try on an outfit the night before to make sure it'll work as imagined, I got lucky with this one.

If you still haven't checked out ThredUp despite my weekly badgering, use my link here for $10 off your first order.

If you haven't spent any time on ModCloth, use my link here for $15 off $50.

And If you'd like to check out the extensive brown, black, and grey boot collection on JustFab, use my link here and get 20% off your first order. Fair warning it is a monthly shoe club so be sure to read the terms and conditions.

Tell Me About - ModCloth's Breathtaking Tiger Lilies Skirt

Happy Tuesday! For today's edition of Tell Me About...Tuesday, I thought I'd tell you a little bit about my favorite ModCloth skirt: The Breathtaking Tiger Lilies Skirt. It comes in a wide variety of fall colors, and one floral print (although be warned, the floral print is not the same material, doesn't have pockets, and runs smaller).

I'm a firm believer in the saying "If it fits, buy it in every color!", I bought the stem green first while I was pregnant because I figured it was a good, versatile color and the elastic back waist made it ideal for maternity wear. I absolutely fell in love with it. I knew I had to have it in other colors so I added the orange, and mustard to my collection. Don't ask me to pick a favorite because I couldn't.

The skirt isn't lined, but it is made of a heavier polyester material, so it's not an issue. As I mentioned, it has an elastic back waist which is one of the reasons I think it's the perfect skirt: it's very forgiving. It comes with a belt, although I usually switch it out for a belt of my own. The best part? POCKETS! It comes in size XS to 4X so whether you are plus sized, a skinny mini, or somewhere in between, you should be able to find one that works for you.

The only downside? The price. It is $49.99 and rarely goes on sale, but sometimes you can get lucky. If you put it on your wishlist and you download the app, you'll get a notification right to your phone if it goes on sale.  I'd love to have it in every color, but I don't have that kind of budget.

No, ModCloth didn't sponsor this post. I'm just an adoring fan. If you haven't purchased with ModCloth before and are interested, use my link for $15 off $50!

Below I've posted my outfits so far with this awesome skirt. Click on the picture for outfit details (Obviously there are more outfits with the green because I've had it the longest)!

Happy Shopping!

I was 32 weeks pregnant in the above so it works well for maternity!

What I Wore To Church - Dressing Up A Tee

Top: Mossimo Boyfriend V Tee (Target)
Cardigan: ModCloth Charter School Cardigan in Honey
Skirt: eShakti Pintuck Pleat Chambray Skirt
Shoes: ThredUp (Michael Antonio)

Every closet has it's share of tees in it for good reason. They are comfortable, come in a wide variety of colors, necklines, and fits so everyone can appreciate them. They were a life saver after I had the baby. I practically lived in them. I prefer to stick to nice-ish looking v-necks so I can pair them with yoga pants or dress them up with a skirt. While I do have quite a few colors, I also appreciate a good print every now and then. When I saw this one at Target on clearance, resistance was futile. The first time I wore it, I stuck with jeans and sneakers and it worked out great, but I wanted to have some fun and dress it up a bit.

I absolutely adore this chambray skirt from eShakti and decided it was a good fit with this tee. Chambray is so versatile. It can be dressed up or down, and it's a great neutral. This particular skirt has just the right amount of poof and is a great length, not to mention POCKETS!

The cardigan was a no brainer after I noticed the subtle mustard color in the print. You should know by now how much I love mustard.

I opted to belt outside the cardigan this week to pull in my waistline and counter-balance the poof of the skirt.

The shoes, OH THE SHOES. These were my latest find from ThredUp. When I saw them, I liked them, but the pictures didn't do them justice. I've been looking for flats with fun detailing since I seem to be spending a lot more time in them. The strap on these and the mixed materials (leather and patent) add just the right amount of adorable. The zippers on the back are appreciated for easy on and off. Who has time for buckles?

All in all I think it made for a great dressed up, yet super comfortable outfit.

If you're interested in signing up for ThredUp (seriously, why haven't you yet?) use my link and get $10 off your first purchase.

If you've never shopped at ModCloth before because you're living under a rock, use my link for $15 off $50.

If you've never peeked at eShakti before because you're new around here, well...I don't have a link, but you can send me your email address and I'll send you an invite. You'll get $35 off your first purchase and free customization the first time you do it. They have a buy 2 get 1 free deal going on, so check it out.
